Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba
The Senate committee probing pension funds management has adjourned sitting to January 2013, when it hopes to conclude the matter. The committee decided to adjourn it’s sitting to next year with the plans to submit its report to the Senate.
It appears the report by the committee is stirring dirty waters as the National Assembly is warming up to take actions against anybody found guilty in the probe.
One of the committee members, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, said the house was not helpless, and would follow the probe to a conclusive end. “Of course, we have recourse which will be applied as soon as we resume from the Christmas break,” he said, adding that “no individual will be allowed to be bigger than our institutions, definitely not this Senate.”
Another committee member, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, said the Senate will decide on the matter when its members return from break in January, 2013.
