Schalke has given Nigeria forward, Chinedu Obasi a contract until 2015, exercising an option in the loan deal with Hoffenheim.

Obasi, a Holland 2005 Junior World Cup silver medallist, went to Schalke during the midseason break. He has scored one goal in 12 Bundesliga appearances.

The two clubs gave no details about the new deal.
