Sandra Bullock returns ex father-in-law’s letter unopened

She starred in a 2006 flick about letter-exchanging, but now Sandra Bullock is having a real-life "Lake House" moment with the unlikeliest of characters: ex-husband Jesse James's father.

The Oscar-winning actress, who split from the bad boy biker in 2010 after news broke of James's infidelity, is reportedly the target of an emotional, heart-wrenching letter written by James' father Larry.

He is heartbroken over the couple's failed marriage and at never having met Sandra's adopted 22-month-old son, Louis.
Radar Online reports Larry and son Jesse have been estranged for eight years; the letter written to Sandra in New Orleans was returned to him unopened.

Though their divorce was finalised just a year and a half ago, life has moved on quickly for both parties.
James recently made headlines for repeat break ups and reunions with (now) ex-girlfriend Kat von D, while Bullock has been seen horsing around with pal Ryan Reynolds and stepping out with son Louis in festive Halloween-themed gear for the holidays.
