Phablet, as the name suggests, is a device that combines the voice-calling capabilities of a smartphone with the larger display 4-7inches and utilizes stylus pen as an additional input device.

Relatively smaller size, lightweight and ultra thin design makes Phablet devices a lot more convenient and trendy, thus eliminating the need to carry around the comparatively bulkier tablet and smartphone at once.

Smartphones that can be docked into a tablet casing and used as a tablet are not considered a Phablet. Phablets don’t require additional peripheral device to enable user to enjoy the best of both worlds.

The Galaxy Note is a hybrid device that could be seen as the ‘Merge-point’ of smartphones and tablet computers, a typical Phablet! The tech giant Samsung, has once again expanded the possibilities of mobile computing with the launch of 5.3-inch display device that looks more like a conventional smartphone but larger and a bit smaller than a traditional tablet computer.

The primary feature of the Note is optimized around a special input device, which is the S-pen or stylus. This makes the Note an artistic notepad with rich entry platforms and amazing possibilities that gives a near perfect handwritten character.

The crop and capture feature helps in descriptive presentation as it enables users to scribble in images within memo and could be saved in various format, shared or stored in cloud drives. The Note presents features that suits smart travellers, who could easily ditch their phone and bulky tablet for convenience sake and opt for a single device that does it all and even better.

The Android belle galaxy Note is a great presentation tool for the socio-business class coupled with endless productive applications from the Android market.

The convergent is equipped with an 8 MP Camera which also has LED flash, offering a superb platform for social media image sharing and video calls with 2-megapixel front-facing camera just above the screen.

The Galaxy Note is not that pocket-able, due to the large brightly beautiful display. The device is very thin and light, the truth is, it’s a little too big to perform one-handed actions with comfort and without fear of it slipping or dropping.

The screen makes it a virtual tablet replacement, suitable for watching movies, seamless video streaming YouTube videos, e-book reader and splendid for full web browsing on the go.

The S-Pen is a great tool and a class of its own, it functions as a paintbrush, marker, pencil and highlighter, giving a complete control over text editing and formatting. The S-Pen is pressure-sensitive and can pick up light and dark strokes. The little button of the stylus performs shortcut commands like taking a screen grab (hold button, hold tap screen) or opening the S-Memo app (hold button, double tap).

Dual 1.4GHz ARM cortex A9 processor drives the device with a 1GB RAM; the Bluetooth connectivity is version 3.0 meaning the iPhone with 4.0 will typically transfer data faster with lower power consumption during Bluetooth exchange.

It has a 21-Mbps HSAP Data Connectivity, Wi-Fi GPS, supports 3G and also features 4G LTE radio. Under auspices of storage, Note has 16GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB via external Micro SD Card. The battery life is splendid with up to 35 days standby time and active talk time of about 15 hours.
