The Super Eagles camp at the Bolton White Apartment flung open on Sunday afternoon and as has become the tradition, home-based skipper Chigozie Agbim was the first to hit camp.

At the last count almost all the invited players had arrived camp and it was good to see by the manner of order given by Head Coach, Stephen Keshi.

As expected, Head Coach, Keshi was already on ground welcoming his players and training is expected to resume on Monday morning at the training pitch of the National Stadium in Abuja.

There has been no case of poor attendance in camp and that is why the team handlers have decided that training will resume on Monday morning.

The next phase of the team’s camping will be when the foreign-based players arrive for the trip to the match venue in Calabar, Cross River State and there have been talks of the team leaving Abuja in one piece ahead of the encounter, going by the interest the match has generated among Nigerians.

Agbim, who led the 23 home-based stars to camp, has assured that the team is in the right frame of mind for the game against the Lone Star of Liberia, declaring that the strength of the team can only improve when the foreign-based players arrive.

“We can handle the pressure, because we have been doing that but both home and foreign-based players have a singular goal and that is the ticket for the Nations Cup in South Africa,” he said.
