Alex Ferguson last night declared star striker Robin van Persie could have been killed on the pitch.
The Manchester United boss flew into a rage after Swansea defender Ashley Williams smashed the ball into Van Persie’s head as the Dutchman lay on the floor, reports futaa.com.
Most dangerous
Fergie blasted: “It was the most dangerous thing I’ve seen on a football field for many, many years. Robin could have been killed.
“Williams should be banned for a long time because Robin’s very lucky to be alive.”
Fuming Fergie twice confronted ref Michael Oliver at the final whistle and moments later in the tunnel after Williams was punished with a mere booking.
Call on FA
He added: “The FA has got to look into it, irrespective of Williams having a yellow card.
“It was absolutely deliberate, absolutely no question.
“The whistle has gone, the game has stopped and he’s done that right in front of the referee a foot from the player.”
