Restructuring: NAMA Boss Calls for Cooperation

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nnamdi Udoh, has called for corporation among the state of the agency and charged the newly appointed top management officials on the need to inject new ideas into the agency, in line with transformation agenda of the Federal Government.

Addressing the new staff, Udoh remarked that their appointment was informed by the antecedent of their performances in their respective professional fields and therefore urged them to work as a family, saying, ‘’everyone is expected to work as a team member in order to move the agency to another level.”
He also urged the new directors and general managers to dream big and think of what they could do differently to move the agency forward, and make it a profitable agency.

The NAMA boss urged the officials to bring their wealth of experience and values to bear on their jobs, remarking that “change is what many people do not want but let us be circumspect because time waits for no one. There is a lot of work to be done, so let us embrace that culture of change, hard work and dedication to duty”.

Meanwhile, at a Town Hall meeting with NAMA staff earlier, Udoh introduced the new staff and in an address, he told the gathering that the new staff were here to be part of the transformation of the agency to a greater height, adding, “if you fail, they have failed and if they fail, you have failed”.
He therefore urged every staff to embrace the synergy of one team and realignment that would give support to the newly appointed management staff for them to be able to render good services to NAMA.

Responding on behalf of the new officers, the new Director, Human Resources and Administration, Dr. Uwem Akangson, commended the managing director and the staff for their warm welcome and acceptance. “We have come to complement what you are doing here to take NAMA higher than where it is now. The team is more formidable now and we are ready to take NAMA to a greater height. As a family, we all in one mix and so we can work together successfully ”, he assured.

The new appointees are: Dr. Uwem Akangson, Director, Human Resources and Administration, Mrs. Clara Aliche, Director, Finance, Barr. Paul Oki, Company Secretary, A. Gbem, Board Secretary and Joyce Ogisi, Senior Land Officer.
The appointments of Alhaji Mukaila Solola, Director of Operations, Ifeanyi Nwankwo, Director, Safety Electronics Services, and Segun Agbolade, General Manager, Finance were also confirmed.
