It was a night of long knives at the Nigeria Governors Forum  governors described as Pro-Goodluck Jonathan failed in their attempt to remove the Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi as Chairman of the forum.

Before the meeting, which took place at the Rivers State Governor’s Lodge, the Pro-Jonathan’s governors had schemed to remove Governor Amaechi as the chairman of the forum in the same way that the abortive plot against former chairman of the forum, Bukola Saraki was removed and replaced with the former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel.
