A Pro-president Goodluck Jonathan group, the “Transformation Agenda Solidarity Forum”(TASOF) has condemned criticisms against the President by  the General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare; former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and a former member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Dino Melaye as the antics of disgruntled politicians seeking attention.

The condemnation was made yesterday by the National Co-ordination of TASOF, Aliyu Ibrahim and National Secretary, Chidi Emeje at a press briefing on Thursday evening in Abuja accusing  them of pontificating "when they do not have integrity."

According to the duo, "Our clear message to these disgruntled politicians is that they should know when to draw the line; they should know when national security is at stake and leave Jonathan alone to do his work."

They also said, "While we are not joining issues with these individuals who by the way, think that by throwing unrestrained jabs at Mr. president, they can score cheap political points or creep back into public consciousness, we believe that it is incumbent on us, given the mood of the times, to put the angst of these devil's advocates in context and to also alert Nigerians on the implication of their evil motives. We shall take them one after the other."

According to the group,  Bakare was "power-hungry, attention-seeking man of God" who "has turned his pulpit to an unedifying platform for stirring up hate instead of love.

"We had thought that by this time, he will sit down to take stock of his political misadventure and work hard to strengthen his path, rather he is up and about pontificating over the Presidency of a man destined by God."
