President Goodluck Jonathan

The Presidency is still mulling the multitude of options before it in the appointment of substantive ministers for Defence and Power Ministries.
The over-crowded political space in Kebbi on those jostling to replace the immediate past Minister of Defence, Dr. Bello Halliru Mohammed, and the absence of Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime are some of the issues being considered by President Goodluck Jonathan in ironing out who will fill the vacant posts for the two states.
Gov. Chime has been out of the country for more than 50 days. He is away in the United States for ‘accumulated vacation.’
Halliru was ousted along with former National Security Adviser, Gen. Andrew Owoye Azazi by President Jonathan in June while Prof. Barth Nnaji resigned under controversial circumstances in August. Both are yet to be replaced. Instead, Erelu Olusola Obada and Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim Kuchi have been holding forte in the ministries of defence and power as ministers of state.
