Plateau State government has accused the National President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar and the state chairman of the union, Comrade Jubril Banchit over the escalation of violence in the state in which houses of prominent persons were torched on Tuesday.

This is even as the state Commissioner of Police, has declared the action of Organized Labour in the state in embarking on violent protest as illegal and a flagrant abuse of court order.

But Banchit, however, has absolved the workers from the violence, saying that the state government should be held responsible for any breach of security in the state.
