The People's Democratic Party (PDP) Edo State chapter said it has written to President Goodluck Jonathan and the Inspector General of Police on the allegation of age falsification levelled against the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole.
The party said it has asked the President to strip Oshiomhole of the national honour bestowed him on grounds that the governor is not a fit and proper person to continue to hold such an award having lied about his age under oath.
The Edo state PDP Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, who addressed journalists Thursday in Abuja, also said the party has sent a petition to the Inspector General of Police demanding an immediate investigation into the allegation of perjury against the governor.
