Jordanian carrier, Royal Air Jordanian Airlines has entered into partnership agreement with Nigeria’s Peacock Travels and Tours Limited to airlift pilgrims that wish to travel to Jordan, where many Biblical sites exist.
The partnership, signed recently between the airline and the travel management company, grants Peacock Travels the exclusive right to handle this year’s holy pilgrimage package to Jordan.
According to the company, the partnership will help to build a relationship and network between Nigerians and Jordanians, among other numerous benefits
A company statement quoted the Group Executive Chairman of Peacock Travels & Tours Limited, Aare Segun Philips as saying that the company was glad to seal the partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding the with Jordanian carrier.
According to the statement, the package will allow prospective pilgrims to experience Jordan Holy land from 5th to 10 July, 2013. The visit will make all returnees get JP attached to their names.
The package include: hotel accommodation, visa to Jordan, flight tickets, entrance fees to tour sites, transportation for D1/2/4, health insurance, and bed and breakfast.
The company said prospective pilgrims will visit several Biblical and historic sites such as: the baptism site of Jesus Christ; Mount Nebo, where Moses died and was buried; the place of the snake bite; Bethany; and the Dead Sea, which cures all ailments, among other interesting sites.
The statement partly read: “The Jordan Valley has profound meaning for religious travellers. The old and new testament places recorded in the bible are still found here. River Jordan should ring a bell to all Christians because a reputable army was cured after dipping himself in this river and also Jesus as baptised in the same river.
It added: “The only sea in the world that doesn’t have any aquatic animal too is in Jordan (Dead Sea), it also has one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the world.”
Meanwhile, Peacock Travels has also introduced a new summer travel package that enables prospective summer travellers pay for their summer trip in three installments.
The summer package, called Peacock Travel with Ease-Pay Easy Agreement, was designed to help summer vacationers pay for their summer trip without much financial burden.
Philips commented: “This package allows a customer to make all travel arrangements with the convenience of advance and installment payments before the Travel date.
Customer shall pay 50 per cent of the total cost as first Installment, subsequent and final Installment Payments shall be 25 per cent and 25 per cent respectively within a mutually agreed period before travel date. By so doing, the passenger saves 30 per cent of total fare”
