Elizade Motors Limited has presented three Toyota Avensis cars to winners of its 40+1 Anniversary Promo organised to mark the company’s 41st anniversary.
The company has also unfolded plans to commence the sales of used cars under the brand name, CarsUTrust, saying it would be offering used cars with certification and limited warranty in its bid to run the Toyota sales business the way it has never been run before in Nigeria.
According to the breakdown presented at a media briefing held before the presentation of the cars to the winners , Peace Mass Transit Ltd bought 100 buses from July 16 to August 15 to emerge the winner for August; Infrastructure Bank Plc., bought 43 vehicles between August 16 and September 15 to emerge the winner for September while Peace Mass Transit Limited bought 101 vehicles from September 16 to October 15 to emerge as winner for October . Peace Mass Transit was therefore given two Toyota Avensis cars while Infrastructure Bank won one at the brief ceremony held at the Elizade head office in Lagos.
Speaking at the occasion, Managing Director, Elizade Motors Limited, Mr. Demola Ade-Ojo, said “ The idea of the 40+1 anniversary promo was conceived firstly to thank the Lord almighty for having kept us in business for over four decades. Secondly, we wanted to use the medium of the 40+1 anniversary promo as a platform to say a big thank-you to all our esteemed and loyal customers and friends of the company for their unalloyed support so far.”
According to him, “We have had several promos in the past as a company, but never before had we witnessed such keen contest in any of our previous promos. I must confess to you that arriving at the eventual winners of this 40+1 anniversary promo was an uphill task.
“To become a winner, all a customer needed to do was record the highest purchase for the month. From August to October, three lucky winners won three Brand New Toyota Avensis for meeting the pre-requisite of the promo.”
He recalled that Elizade which started business in 1971 as a small automobile marketing company has grown today to become the undisputed number one dealer of Toyota vehicles in Nigeria, specialising on the sales, service and distribution of genuine Toyota spare parts.
The presentation ceremony was witnessed by the Director General, Consumer Protection Council (CPC), who was represented by the Head of the Lagos office, Mrs. NgozikaObidike; Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. KayodeOpeifa, represented by the Director of Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO), Mr. A.G Toriola; while the Chairman/Managing Director, Peace Mass Transit Limited, Chief Sam MadukaOnyishi, received the keys of the two Avensis won by his company at the occasion.
