Major-Gen Charles Airhiavbere
Following the striking out of a leg of Major-Gen Charles Airhiavbere's petition concerning the educational qualifications of Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo State arising from the Elections Petition over the gubernatorial polls, stakeholders in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have called on the party hierarchy to expel their gubernatorial candidate in the election from the party for bringing the PDP into disrepute.
The stakeholders at a press conference in Benin City, yesterday, said Airhiavbere’s decision to contest the result of the gubernatorial election in the state at the tribunal, against the decision of the party hierarchy has damaged the reputation of the party.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Chief Aisulimhen Ighodaro said “the ill-advised decision of our candidate in the July 14 election, Maj-Gen Charles Airhiavbere to go to court against the party advise has done untold damage to our reputation as a party. “
