A civil society group, Nigerian Renewal Group (NRG) which  is said to be made up of young professional members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has called for the disbanding of the Governors' Forum for working against the peace and stability of the party,  especially  for working against  the party Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

The group is  worried that the Forum is growing into a powerful destabilising force that can hold both the PDP hierarchy and  the  presidency to  ransom.

In a statement signed Sunday by both the President and Secretary of NRG, Alhaji Mansur Usman and Ms Adejoke Olagoke,  the group  accused the Governors' Forum of gang up against Tukur as well as being the force behind the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) crisis.
