Governor Olusegun Mimiko

The three major political parties, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and the ruling Labour Party (LP), that are contesting the October 20 Gubernatorial Election in Ondo State, would  Saturday hold their congresses separately to ratify their candidates for the poll.

While the congress of the PDP would hold at the Helena Hotel, Ijapo, the ACN would hold its congress at the SWAN Hotel on Ilesha-Akure Road just as the LP congress would take place at the State Cultural Centre, Adegbemile all in the state capital.

The parties’ congresses, will come as mere ratification to satisfy the provision of the Electoral Act because everybody has known the candidates of the parties even though, the incumbent governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko would be contesting against one Felix Ogunjumelo, who obtained the nomination form of the party.
