Oyinlola May Defect to Another Party

Fresh facts have emerged that the factional National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, may move to another political party if the leadership of the party fails to resolve its current crisis.

THISDAY checks revealed that Oyinlola has already instructed his loyalists and supporters in the state about his decision to defect to a new party.

Oyinlola had at the weekend in Okuku, his hometown, said he was considering the possibility of dumping the PDP alongside his supporters for another political party.

Also, the leadership of the PDP in the state last week vowed to commence disciplinary action against Oyinlola, if he failed to leave the new faction of the party and join the mainstream PDP, a threat which Oyinlola's loyalists described as an empty one.

It was equally gathered that the PDP in the state had instructed all the four governorship aspirants of the party not to attend any meeting called by Oyinlola on the grounds that the former governor was no longer loyal to the party.
