South African Airways

It has been a bitter- sweet participation at the recent 18th World Golfers Championship for Emmanuel Onumajuru after his golf bag was lost in South Africa.
The Aba-based amateur golfer, who was the national flight champion in his category, could not find checked in luggage when the Nigerian delegation arrived Lagos on November 3.
He flew on board South Africa Airways like the rest of the Nigerian contingent. His luggage was checked in for the home bound flight between Durban and Johannesburg.
The single-handicap player tied for 17th position in the 0-5 flight category in his maiden appearance at the WGC which is one of the biggest amateur golf tournaments in the world.
“Up till this moment, I am yet to see my bag. I reported the missing bag to the airline upon our arrival in the first week of November. I am shattered by the loss because the bag contained some of my favourite clubs, in addition to other items. The great time I had at the World Championship has been blighted by the lost luggage,” Onumajuru lamented Saturday night.
