Incumbent governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko has so far secured outright victory in 12 local governments councils so far declared by INEC of the results of Saturday's governorship election in the state.

His main challengers; Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the ACN and Olusola Oke of the PDP have won two and one local government respectively.

INEC is yet to release the results of three local government councils. Ondo State has 18 councils.

Meanwhile, the ruling Labour Party, of which Mimiko belongs, has so far won 218, 874 votes to ACN's 119, 983 and 117, 113 the 15 local goverment councils.

* INEC is yet to release the result of only one local council. Of those so far released, the Labour Party (LP) has won 12, Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) 3 and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 1

The final result is expected to be announced later Sunday.
