A former deputy governor of Osun  State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, who is eyeing the Osun State governorship position, has raised the alarm over what he described as the ‘provocative billboards’ being mounted across the state to portray him in bad light.

A statement signed on his behalf by his Media Adviser, Kolawole Victor Oriola,  described the development as “the latest in series of their act of hooliganism and wanton destruction of lives and property unleashed on the state since they assumed office three years ago.”

Assuring his supporters not to be provoked by what he called the  senseless act by desperate politicians, Omisore urged the state Commissioner of Police and Director of State Security Service, SSS, to get to the root of this matter with a view to bringing the culprits to book.
“We also want to urge the indigenes of the state and lovers of democracy to prevail on Aregbesola and his men not to turn our state that has enjoyed relative peace into war zone.
“Winning and losing election should not be a do or die affair but should be based on performance and how well we have treated the confidence reposed in us by the electorate.
“Since our people are now wiser, no amount of bravado or political gymnastics will work. It will be based purely on one man one vote,” the statement said.
