Overwhelmed and excited by the blend of natural ambience and sophistication available during their retreat at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Isaac Folorunso Adewole and his team apparently got more than what they bargained for.

The night before their departure, they were treated to an enthralling performance by the crew of Atunda Entertainment.
Impressed, Prof. Adewole and his team gave a standing ovation to the troupe with the VC commending the performance as ‘‘simply marvellous and a phenomenonal.’’ He didn’t just end there. He also expressed how happy he was with the display of the female bata performer, Olo Omidan Bata.

‘‘The young is lady good,’’ he said. That goodness, musical prowess and talented drumming skill displayed by Olo Omidan are virtues that the VC wants to further hone and promote. To achieve this, he joyously announced the offer of scholarship to Olo Omidan by the university to study music.

That got the crowd excited and Olo Omidan and team ecstatic. According to the VC, who is a Prof. of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the scholarship is with immediate effect but however, Olo Omidan will have to wait for perhaps a year more as the JAMB exam for the new in-takes has long taken place and the admission process for the next session is now in progress.

Aside this, the VC has also extended invitation to Atunda Entertainment troupe to perform at the school during an event to be hosted for one its renowned scholars in. According to the VC, the invitation is part of his effort at exposing the group and its many budding talents to the international community.
