Obasanjo Absent as PDP's BOT Meeting Begins

The 42nd meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) commenced at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa on Tuesday night without former President President Olusegun Obasanjo who resigned from the post last April.

This is the second time the BoT is meeting in a couple of weeks. In December it met in the same venue but no leader was elected.

The twelve visible contenders of the coveted position are Dr Alex Ekwueme, Dr Ken Nnamani, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo. Orhers are Dr Amadu Ali, Chief Tony Aneni, Chief Emmanuel Iwuayanwu, Chief Don Etibet, Senator Bode Olayinka, Chief Yekeen Adeojo, Senator Onyeabor Obi, Chief Harry Akande and Chief Shuaibu Oyedo.
