Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State has sacked the Commissioner for Social Development and Integration, Mr. Felix Twangwami, for disloyalty.

Twangwami, was the Director General of Nyako Campaign Organisation in the last year governorship election in the state and was relieved of his job over the weekend, for his allegedly loyalty to the Dr. Bamanga Tukur-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction in the state.

THISDAY checks revealed that some commissioners and special advisers, who were allegedly involved in the PDP crisis were among the anti-Alhaji Mijinyawa Kugama-led executives of the state PDP backed by Nyako, who sources alleged, may also be booted out of office when the governor concludes his investigations on their activities.

The embattled commissioner, who confirmed to THISDAY that he had been relieved of his position yesterday, however, did not give reason for his sack from office.

But reports claimed recently that the commissioner was allegedly spotted having meetings with the Damagun-led caretaker committee faction initially ordained by the National Working Committee (NWC) headed by Tukur.

Investigation also revealed that the offence of the affected politician was based on an alleged  romance with the Tukur’s caretaker committee set up to conduct congresses and form a new state executive of the PDP in the state, after the dissolution of the Kugama-led exco, which is backed by Nyako.

The Kugama-led state working committee was reinstated by ten members of the NWC of the party after three months crisis that has already divided the state chapter of the party into two factions.

However, a top government official, who spoke to THISDAY hinted that other anti-Kugama government appointees would be booted out too.

According to the source, the affected people were disloyal, alleging that they openly supported Tukur to take over the party’s structure from Kugama.

The source added that the action of the affected government appointees was visibly seen as an act of betrayer, stating further that their sanctions would serve as a deterrent to others.

“This is purely a coup against Nyako government, such offence goes with a penalty. If really they are honourable men they would have tendered their resignation letter before they pitched their tent with  Babanga Tukur’s faction of the party”

THISDAY can authoritatively reveal that two chairmen have emerged in the state legitimately claiming to be the authentic leader of the PDP in the state, which are Chief Joel Madaki, who is  backed by Tukur and Minjjiya Kugama back by Nyako.
