Acting Executive Secretary, Tunji Babalola
The management of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) has mandated all the Premier League Clubs to send a participant each to the 2012 Soccerex event scheduled for Thursday, September 27 at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.
In a letter signed on behalf of the Acting Executive Secretary, Tunji Babalola, and sent to the chairmen of all the Premier League clubs by Sunday Obaseki, the NPL directed that each participant is expected to be at the seminar with his club’s autographed jersey for display, stressing that the clubs stand to gain enormously from participating.
The NPL noted that the Soccerex event is the first of its kind in Nigeria, hence, the need for all the Premier League clubs to avail themselves of the viable economic and sponsorship opportunities that the event offers.
As part of its effort to encourage the clubs to be part of the Soccerex, the management of the NPL will pay the participation fees for the participants from the clubs which shall be recouped during registration of 2012/2013 Premier League season. However, participants will be responsible for their transportation and hotel expenses.
