Enugu Rangers' manager, Okey Emordi is positive his wards will stay top of the league after this weekend's Matchday 30 oriental derby at Heartland.
The Coal City lads lead the 20-team elite league on 46 points the same as southeast rivals, Enyimba but four points distance from third-placed side, Dolphins.
The three front runners are on the road this weekend to Heartland, Warri Wolves and Lobi Stars respectively.
Emordi, who admitted to the difficulty of undoing the home side at the stage of the league, told SuperSport.com that his wards are battle ready for a win at Owerri.
"We'll try our best to win although at this stage of the league it's almost impossible to beat the home side.
"Teams fight dirty, tooth and nail to win at home but we're not discouraged, we'll put in our best believing that our best will be recognised and good enough to give us victory.
"We'll instruct the players on the style to adopt and we hope they'll carry it out on the field of play.
"The most potent approach for a visiting team to excel is to score clean goals perhaps try to score first.
"We're aiming at either a win or draw, at least, to keep the balance and maintain our leadership position," he said.
The former Enyimba manager said his wards are fit for the duel at Heartland.
"No injury worries among the players, no one on card suspension except Seyi Fabiyi who had a knock on his mouth but he has started training.
"So I'm having full complement of my players to face Heartland," he said.
Both sides shared points at the first fixture at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
