The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) has approved the Sani Sardauna Memorial Stadium, Gusua for hosting league matches following the
completion of the re-inspection exercise conducted on the facilities on the stadium.

In a statement signed by the acting Executive Secretary, Mr. Tunji Babalola, NPL said: “The approval takes effect from the second round
of the 2010/2011 league season.” He further maintained that: “NPL is determined that league matches are played in good and standard playing turfs as the era of playing league matches in  substandard pitches  is over and that is why before now, Zamfara United had been playing its home matches at Kano Pillars  Stadium, Kano.”

Meanwhile, the postponed Zamfara United match against Sunshine Stars holds at the Kano Pillars Stadium, Kano next Wednesday.
