Boko Haram  Bombing in Kano

The Forum of Wives of Governors of the Northern States has resolved to join hands to promote peace efforts aimed at stemming the orgy of violence and suicide bombings in parts of the north. Rising from their one day meeting hosted at the Benue Government Lodge by the Chairperson of the forum and the wife of the Benue State Governor, Mrs. Dooshima Yemisi Suswan in Abuja, the governors’ wives lamented the continued spread of the violence and bombing of places of worship by the Boko Haram sect with the attendant loss of lives.

At the meeting were wives of governors of Benue, Kaduna, Bornu, Gombe, Kano, Adamawa, Kebbi, Taraba, Plateau and Kogi states.  Other state governors wives represented at the meeting include Niger, Kwara and Sokoto.
