The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has accused Plateau State Governor Jonah Jang of inciting violence through the use of thugs and members of the Special Task Force (STF) to attack workers across the state for protesting over their demand for the implementation of the national minimum wage.

It added that the Jang also ordered the arrest and torture of some workers and labour leaders some of whom, it alleged were beaten to a state of coma by the STF.

The NLC in a statement signed by its Acting General Secretary, Chris Uyot said it will not back down on its insistence for the full implementation of the wage in the state and the payment of all salaries and allowances owed Local Government workers for six months.
