Two Nigerian cadet table tennis players have picked the slots allotted to the West African sub region for the Olympic Solidarity Scholarships by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

President of the Nigerian Table Tennis Federation Hon. Kayode Abdulwahab-Omotose disclosed Tuesday that he was very happy with the performance of the Nigerian team to the championships which took place in Ivorian capital.

“It was an all Nigerian final in both the male and female categories.
While Osinbanjo defeated Abayomi Martins,  Oribamishe also had the upper hand in the contest with Eniola Blessing.
In the U-18 boys, Jide Omotayo  defeated Kehinde Awobajo also in an all Nigerian final.

“While our players took part in only three events out of nine staged at the competition due to late arrival ,we  won all  that we took part in,  including the only two ITTF scholarships slot on offer,” observed the NTTF president.
