Mr. Jacob Olusegun Oladipo as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Learn Africa Plc
In a bid to strengthen its position in the publishing sector, Nigeria’s leading learning resource company, Learn Africa Plc recently announced new board-level appointments. The board of the company confirmed the appointment of Mr. Jacob Olusegun Oladipo as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Learn Africa Plc.
Until this appointment, Oladipo, a Business Administration graduate, was the Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive, with an additional responsibility of supervising the Sales and Marketing Departments, where he was once the Head of Sales (Northern Region), and later the Sales and Marketing Director. A quintessential salesman and an astute administrator, Oladipo will bring to bear his wealth of experience in the publishing industry, spanning more than two decades.
The board also announced the appointment of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh and Mrs. Yetunde Aina as non-executive directors. Adadevoh is a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist, and a staunch member of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) and the British-Nigerian Association.
Adadevoh holds an MBBS from the University of Lagos Nigeria, as well as a Diploma in Endocrinology from the prestigious University of London. She is a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College (FMCP). A widely travelled physician, Adadevoh has worked in United Kingdom and Nigerian Hospitals for more than three decades. She is presently the lead consultant at First Consultants Medical Centre Lagos.
Aina holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a degree in Law from Kings College, Cambridge University, London. She has varied experience in banking, product design and business development. She once worked at Chase Merchant Bank as an investment banker and also worked as a Business Development Director at St Ossei Studio in Ghana, a studio that designed for a wide range of product lines (textiles and fashion, greeting cards, shoes, etc.).
Aina was also a Design Consultant to Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), where she was responsible for the design and fit out of the Company’s offices and guest houses in Lagos, Warri and Port Harcourt. She is currently the CEO of Jadeas Trust, an educational and cultural foundation with a Pan African focus. Her establishment plays advisory roles to state governments, national and international agencies and organisations.
