NDE Trains Women on Entrepreneurship

The National Directorate  of  Employment (NDE)  has concluded capacity building for 60 women to increase their chances of winning in the You Win business competition and build their skills in small business ownership.

NDE Director General, Mallam  Abubakar  Mohammed  in a statement lamented that unemployment remains a scourge that threatens the aspirations of young people in Nigeria.

He added that the training is part of efforts to ensure the participation of women in the YouWin competition, and to sharpen their business skills. The Assistant Director of Communication, Mr. Edmund Onwuliri, in a statement said the training which lasted five days was also intended  expose  them  to  the  process  of  identifying  and  developing  a  viable  business  idea,  to prepare good business  plans  and to identify other  sources  of  business  financing.  At  the  end  of  the  training,  participants  will  be  able  to  submit  their  project  to  the  YouWin  website, he said.
