Okey Igweh reacts after sinking a short putt

A jet fighter pilot with the Nigeria Air Force, Group Captain Nnaemeka Ilo showed he can also scramble on the ground after he emerged as the overall nett winner of the IBB Club Board of Trustees Cup in Abuja

Nnaemeka posted 65 nett to win the tournament by 13- shot and instantly had his handicap trimmed from 19 to a career low 16.1.

The 42- year- old started playing golf in 2001 at the Air Assault Golf Club, Port Harcourt and in the course of duty, has also played the game at Kaduna Golf Club and Kano Golf Club.

Korean K.C Lee carded 70 nett to beat B.S Abdulkadir by two strokes in the Men Division 1 (handicap0-12) category. Victor Adedipe was three shots back for third position.

Other male winners include S. Shongwe (70) in division 2 and K. Higgins who shot 69 in division 3.

Mohammed Kangiwa shot 78 to win the gross prize, beating S.O Sanya on countback. Okey Igweh was a shot off the pace for the third position.

S. Suwa beat Amina Wilfred by one shot after wounding up with a nett score of 73 to secure the ladies division 1 title, while Peter Igho came in with a 71 nett to secure the veterans title.
