MultiChoice Promises More Customer-centric Promos

MultiChoice Nigeria, a leading pay television content provider, has pledged its readiness to consistently introduce loyalty schemes to rival the just-concluded biggest mega promo.

The promo, which was held to reward its subscribers, produced winners for the Five Renault Duster sport utility vehicles (SUVs), as well as winners of all-expense paid trips to South Africa to watch the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON). Other prizes won included 100 units of 40” LCD television sets, and 500 units of DStv hand-held Walka devices, among other prizes that were on offer.

Coming on the heels of the formal presentation of a Renault Duster SUV to Mr. Ayo Osunbunmi, a banker, in the fifth and final draws of the DStv mega promo, the company reiterated its desire to always reward the loyalty of its customers.

General Manager, DSTV, Mr. Mayo Okunola, who made the disclosure, noted that DStv will continually seek ways to thank and reward customers for their loyalty and will in a short while announce a bigger promotional package to celebrate its customers.

“Our subscribers are the bedrock of our business and we therefore continue to inspire them through quality programs as well as consistency to show gratitude all year round”, said Okunola.
Osunbunmi, who formally received his prize at a short ceremony at the Lagos office of the Pay TV company, was overwhelmed with joy. He explained that he was initially in doubt when he received the notification that he had won the prize; as he had never believed nor participated in promos.

“I never knew I had qualified and entered for the DStv mega promo draws as my paying upfront was simply for convenience. With my experience, I can attest to the credibility of all the winnings”, he said and further advised subscribers to take advantage of subsequent opportunities DStv will bring the way of its subscribers.

In keeping faith with the mega promo commitment, DStv earlier presented four Renault Duster SUVs to Alloysius Onuoha, who emerged in the first draws of the promo as well as Garba Ahmed; Most Reverend Charles Oderinde of the Anglican Communion and Esther Omotogunja – winners that emerged in the second, third and forth draws, respectively.

Just as the numerous prizes are being redeemed, winners have also described DStv as a provider of choice programmes through its quality television content that have earned their continued loyalty.

Most of the winners especially the five lucky winners of the Renault Duster SUVs, commended DStv for the transparent manner in which the draws were held. From the first winner to the last, they reckoned that at no time did they intentionally enter for the promo, as their paying upfront has always been a matter of convenience and tradition.

Head of Public Relations, MultiChoice Nigeria, Segun Fayose, said that since November 2012 when the DStv mega promo started, active subscribers that paid subscription for upwards of three months on any of the bouquets, as well as new customers that purchased and activated a complete DStv system within the period were entered for the weekly electronic draws that were broadcast live on SuperSport channel.

DStv offers unrivalled television content spanning different genres from news and information to movies, drama, documentary, education and learning, music, sports and much more, spread across over 100 different channels that are available on different bouquets.
