The MTN World Golfers Championship will tee off at the prestigious Port Harcourt Golf Club on May 25.
The regional qualifier, the first in the series of national tournaments billed for the season, will parade golfers from the Eastern and southern parts of the country.
The MTN WGC is one of the tournaments in high demand Nigeria, given the number of qualifiers and national final that will be organised this year.
The Port Harcourt leg of the series will have in attendance golfers from Aba, Benin, Air Assault, Oguta, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Ogunnu Warri and Asaba.
The remaining regional qualifiers come up in Ikeja, Lagos and Abuja, while the national final is scheduled for Uyo on September 27-29.
Ikeja Golf Club will be the venue for the western zonal qualifiers and will entertain golfers from Lagos and western part of the country on June 15, while the northern regional final comes up at IBB International Golf and Country Club on June 27.
The national final will be played over 36-hole and will parade all the qualifiers in five handicap flight categories to compete for the five places at the world final in Durban, South Africa in October.
