Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Amaju Pinnick
Two indigenes of Delta State, Chief Joe Penawou who is the Managing Director of 1st Marine and Energy Limited and Chief Gbemisi Eyewuoma who is the chairman of Delta State Volleyball Association have offered to support the Delta State team to the National Sports Festival that kicks off Tuesday in Lagos.
Chief Joe Penawou is to provide the entire Delta contingent with energy drinks, beverages and bottle water throughout the duration of the Festival.
Eyewuoma who is the chief executive officer of Gbesi has offered to sponsor the state volleyball team to the festival. He is kitting them, feed them and he has also donated N700,000 to the Volleyball team.
The Executive Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Amaju Pinnick, has commended the efforts of the two philanthropists and urged other Deltans to emulate them. While addressing the athletes in the Oghara and Koko camps he expressed satisfaction with the state of readiness of the athletes for the festival.
Only last week, Dere Otubu of Senforce Insurance Brokers and Waland Services contributed up to N10m to support Team Delta.
