Moneygram global consumer promo ‘Gear up for School’, which was conceptualised by the international money transfer company to reward loyalties, has rewarded about one hundred and thirty five customers in Nigeria. The promotion was aimed at building better relationship with its customers and to compensate them for their loyalty.
In Lagos, where the electronic draw of the initiative was done recently, in the presence of representatives of various banks, who subscribed to the service of the company, notebooks and school kits were won by student customers of the respective banks.
All those who participated in the draw were those who received money through MoneyGram between August and September
The Business Development Manager, MoneyGram, Mrs. Kemi Okusanya, said that the “Gear up for School 2013” promotion was crafted to reward its customers who received remittances for education because analysis indicated that it is the leading reason for emergency remittances in Nigeria.
“This promo saw customers who received money through MoneyGram got instant gifts at the locations of our partner banks. For the purpose of this promotion, these banks included Mainstreet Bank, Enterprise Bank, First Bank, UBA, Sterling Bank, Keystone Bank, Skye Bank, Access Bank and Ecobank,” he said.
According to Okusanya, the promo, a continuation of its support for education in Nigeria, after it distributed over 80,000 notebooks to over 15 deprived primary schools in Lagos, Ibadan and Benin City and scholarship to 20 brilliant students but needy female university students in Nigeria.
