Minister, NLC, Ohuanbuwa, Others for HR Summit

The Minister of State for Defence, Mrs. Olusola Obada; the Vice President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Mr. Issa Aremu, and the past Chairman, Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG), Mr. Sam Ohuanbuwa, are some of the dignitaries expected in Lagos on November 28, 2012 at the maiden 2012 Human Resource (HR) summit of HR Derivatives limited-publishers of HR Guide, Nigeria’s first HR magazine.
Obada is the special guest of honour, while Aremu and Ohuanbuwa are the keynote address presenter and chairman respectively, at the event slated for the Lagos Sheraton Hotel, with the theme: ‘Insecurity, workplace productivity and vision 20-2020’.


In a statement on the summit by the magazine’s managing editor, Nap Omomila, and the editor, Babatola Adeyemi, other speakers at the event include, the Director General, Nigeria Employers Consultative Assembly (NECA), Mr. Segun Osinowo,  the Chairman, Transworld Security  Services Limited, Dr. Ona Ekhomu, and the President, South-South Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Billy Harry.
Others include the Group Deputy Managing Director, Kewalram Chanrai group, Mr. Victor Eburajolo; the President, Nigeria Institute for Industrial Security, Mr. Wilson Esangbedo, the Group HR Director, Industrial and General Insurance (IGI), Mr. Funsho Korode, and the HR Director, 7Up Plc, Mr. Femi Mokikan, among others.


According to Omomila and Adeyemi, the forum affords a unique opportunity to review various aspects of HR practice in light of prevailing security issues in the country and their costs, with a view to addressing their impacts on workplace productivity and vision 20-2020.

“This is a summit for HR practitioners and senior officials in both the public and private sectors of the economy cannot afford to miss”, the statement stressed.
