Sports Minister, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi

Sports Minister and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi Tuesday in Abuja announced the dissolution of the Board of the Nigeria Academicals Sports Committee (NASCOM).

Abdullahi said the measure was geared towards repositioning the body for greater efficiency in the discovery and nurturing of grassroots talents especially through school sports.

He thanked members of the previous board, especially the Chairman, Chief Segun Odegbami, for their various contributions and efforts towards achieving the mandate of NASCOM.

He said that a new board will be announced soon.
