Enyi Odigbo, Casers Group Chairman

After a painstaking search by the Marketing Edge team, Enyi Odigbo, Casers Group Chairman has been selected Brand Personality of the Year 2011. The annual project is part of the IMC industry focused magazine’s mission of promoting brand idea.

Odigbo, a distinguished adman would be conferred with the award at a ceremony holding on October 23, 2012 at the Banquet Hall of the Lagos Sheraton Hotel & Towers, which is expected to attract over 300 top corporate leaders in the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) sector and the clients’ side.

Addressing the press on the award, publisher and chief executive of Marketing Edge Magazine, Mr. John Ajayi explained that the choice of Odigbo as brand personality of the year was in recognition of his numerous achievements in the brand building business and for his contributions to the growth of creativity in advertising business in Nigeria.

“The doggedness and incomparable but admirable entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by Mr. Odigbo in championing the cause of advertising and marketing practice over the years is second to none.” Ajayi said.

He also noted that Odigbo’s recent nomination as one of the world’s top agency innovators and breakthrough thinkers at the 2011 Global Innovators Summit in New York clearly places him in the elite group of advertising agency executives and marketing leaders worldwide. The group won the award based on its unique business model, which Omnicom Worldwide considers as the best in the Omnicom group.

Part of programmes lined up for the day includes a dinner talk on contemporary marketing issues by former Samsung Nigeria Managing Director, Mr. Enang Idonrenyen.

The Casers Group, which consists of DDB Lagos, Capital Media, BBDO and Superbrands Nigeria, Magenta Consulting, another member of the Casers Group, is a joint venture with Fin International, a specialist financial services brand development, PR and Communications Company with offices in London and Lagos.
