The two Grade A UEFA licensed coaches, Andrew Smith and Adam Temple, from Manchester United, scheduled to join the technical crew at the Glo Soccer Academy, will arrive Lagos Saturday.

They will be accompanied by Manchester United’s relationship Manager in charge of Telecommunications, Mike Higham and work with the Academy's technical team led by Ex-international, Victor Ikpeba, and his coaching crew, Tony Bafoe, Tijani Babangida and Zion Ogunfeyimi at the Academy, which took off last Sunday.

During their stay at the Academy, the Grade 'A' coaches of youth football in Manchester United will take the boys through critical soccer techniques that will help to shape the career of the talented youngsters.

The visit of the Manchester United coaches is one of the benefits of the Glo-Manchester United partnership which the two world-class organisations entered into in 2010.

Both Smith and Temple have the highest UEFA coaching 'A qualification.  They have worked with Manchester United for over a decade.  Smith who is Manchester United's Hub Development Manager/Academy Coach has been with the club since 1995, while Temple who is the club’s Education Coordinator began working for the club in 1998.

Thirty three young talented boys from Ghana, Benin Republic and Nigeria scaled through several weeks of rigorous screening in 10 locations to qualify for the Academy.  They moved into the Academy after an impressive ceremony witnessed by soccer administrators, Nollywood icons and selected football fans last weekend.

At the end of the Academy, 16 finalists will emerge and go on a training tour of the Manchester United Soccer Schools in Carrington, England.  In addition, they will receive the G-Bam Scholarship of N750,000 each.

Out of the 16 top finalists, one of them who will emerge as the Most Valuable Player will go home with N5 million, while the remaining 15 will get N1 million each.
