Handlers of Macleans Milk Teeth, a toothpaste brand from the stable of GSK Consumer Nig Plc., formulated for children between ages of 1 - 6 years old, have reiterated the need for proper oral healthcare habit among children.

This was emphasised at various parties organised by the promoters of the brand to mark this year’s Children’s Day. At the event, which was full of fun, entertainment and free dental check for children, mothers were urged to pay attention to the children’s oral hygiene.

The Marketing Manager, Oral Health Care and Innovations, GSK Consumer Nigeria Plc, Mr. Winston Ailemoh, said the programme was organised to celebrate children on their special day and show the company’s commitment to children’s growth.

“Macleans Milk Teeth contains the right child-safe amount of all the active ingredients in the adult toothpaste especially fluoride. The quantity of fluoride in children’s toothpaste is absolutely important because of the possibility of dental fluorosis, a dental condition which leaves the teeth pitted and mottled, as a result of too much fluoride in the system caused by swallowing of toothpaste during brushing”, he said.

Children and their mothers had a great time at the event, participating in dancing competitions, bouncing castles, magic train rides, among other activities.
