Starting from today, all eyes will be at the National Stadium, Lagos where the Lagos NUJ Media Games 2012 will take place. For the next one week, journalists will take time off from their busy reschedule of reporting other people (especially we sports reporters) to being the ones being reported about. With nine sporting events namely scrabble, chess, draughts, ayo, table-tennis, tug-of-war,
marathon, and athletics (100m, 200m and 4 x 100m) as well as a five-a-side football taking place, there is a sport for every journalist.
According to the Chairman of the Main Organising Committee (MOC) for the Games, Deji Elumoye, who is also the chairman of the Lagos Council of the NUJ, this year’s event, which is the 7th edition, will surpass previous editions in terms of organisation.
