The Auto Parts Expo is being planned as a consummate market to round off the 2012 Lagos Motor Fair, which holds at the same venue from April 18 to 24.
Disclosing this in Lagos recently was the chairman of the organising committee of the event, Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Agwu, who is also the Managing Director/CEO, BKG Exhibitions Limited, which is organising the annual Motor Show in partnership with Senexpo International of Turkey.
Agwu said the confirmation of full participation by the foreign automobile, spare parts, accessories and lubricant manufacturers and dealers who would be joining their Nigerian counterparts at the fair was an outright demonstration of love and care for their existing and potential customers.
He said leading financial institutions such as Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc (GT Assur) with its range of products such as Assur Moto Plus, Assur Moto Vintage etc.; Sterling Bank Plc with Sterling car lease, Auto Loan Sterling Acquire as well as First Bank Plc with its Auto Loan, Operational vehicle Loan amongst other first class products and services the bank is known for, have already confirmed their participation.

He added that “this seems to be uppermost in the thinking of these automotive giants, hence their determination to be alive to their prospects and customers’ expectations at all times and seasons, of which the 7th Lagos Motor fair will be an ample opportunity.”
Agwu said that the 7th Lagos Motor Fair has been specifically designed to focus more on auto spare parts and accessories because of the peculiarity of the Lagos market as a hub in the West African sub-region.
“We are marketing the auto parts expo not only in Nigeria but in Benin Republic, Togo and Ghana with the intention of attracting over 200,000 visitors who will be coming not for sight-seeing but for business,” he said.
Agwu also disclosed that the show would be featuring a pack of debutants such as Weststar & Associates-the authorised dealers of Mercedes Brands in Nigeria; Leyland Busan - the Ibadan-based automobile giant that holds the franchise for Leyland brands in the country.
There would also be Boulous Enterprises Limited, dealers and distributors of Haojue Elegant Motorcycles and Piaggio Tricycles; Falken Tyres; Primewell Tyres; Comar Tyre & Rubber Industrial Company Limited, distributors of Comar Tyres, and Infinity Tyres, distributors of Infinity range of tyre products in Nigeria.
