The Kogi State Deputy Governor,  ARCH. Yomi Awoniyi,  and chairman State Emergency Management Agency, (SEMA), Wednesday  stated that the   state government has netted over  one billion naira  in cash  donation as well as hundreds of tons of grains for distribution to the affected victims in  the recent flood in the state.

The deputy governor who stated this in his office Wednesday, noted that the state has kept to its promise by adequately taking care of the flood victims in all its camps while they lasted.

Awoniyi,  who was  refuting  claims  of  neglecting  of the victims of the flooding disasters, said the state had stood by the  victims by promptly responding to their needs, saying that the state at the moment has only one relief camp.
