Two Air Force Officers and two businessmen were on Sunday killed by unknown gunmen in separate attacks carried out in Kano Metropolis.
The killing of the two air force officers occurred around Sa’adatu Rimi College along Zaria Road at about 12.30pm, while the killing of the two businessmen occurred in Walawai area in Hotoro Quarters.
An eye witness confirmed to our correspondent that the two officers were attacked opposite Sa’adatu Rimi College inside their car by gun men,who reportedly fired shots at them killing them instantly.
Spokesman of the Joint Task Force, Lt Ikedichi Iweha confirmed the killings and said that investigation was on going to unravel the culprits.
Police sources also confirmed that the two businessmen were attacked inside a shop in Walawai quarters by unknown gunmen who surrounded them and fired several shots on the victims before they fled the area.
It was also learnt that another attack was also said to have occurred at Abdu Saye area in Hotoro Quarters as gunmen fired several shots to scare people.
An Okada rider was said to have been shot in the chest as a result of which he sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
An eye witness said that “we don’t know their mission but they started firing warning shots to scare people.”
