The former civilian governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Isa Kaita, former Deputy Senate President, Alhaji Abubakar Dan-Musa and former presidential candidate of the defunct National Republican Convention(NRC)Alhaji Bashir Tofa have described late Kaduna State governor, Mr. Patrick Yakowa as a true leader who worked hard to unite Muslims and Christians in the state.
According to Alhaji Kaita ”Late Yakowa’s absence would be felt greatly as his efforts to unite his people," adding that his death was a huge loss to the state and nation.
Dan Musa in his own viewed Yakowa's death as a tragedy for the state particularly, adding that he was a peaceful man and did his best to bring about peace in his state, especially after the 2011 polls in the state. They both prayed for the repose of his soul.
