He's won a plethora of music-related awards in the past, but last night Justin Timberlake was honoured for something completely different: his commitment to the environment.
The 30-year-old Future Sex/Love Sounds singer took home the EMA Futures Award at the Environmental Media Association Awards at Warner Bros. studios in Burbank, California.
The accolade celebrates a person 'just hitting [his/her] stride in terms of environmental commitment and activism.'
He's the owner of Mirimichi, an eco-friendly golf course just outside of his Memphis, Tennessee hometown. He has said in the past: 'My two loves are golf and the environment.'
The singer/actor definitely brought sexy back to the stage in a low-key, three-piece black suit.
In addition to his efforts for going green, the southern star will also start promoting the science fiction thriller In Time.
The film, which stars Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Wilde and Hollywood's bad boy Alex Pettyfer, is scheduled for an October 28 release.
Also attending the award ceremony last night was Nicole Richie, who looked fabulous in a canary yellow Keepsake dress.
The 30-year-old fashion designer accessorised with Neil Lane jewellery, Christian Louboutin heels and a clutch from her own line, House of Harlow.
Prior to the event she tweeted: 'Tonight at the #EMA's it's all about being green. Even though I'm wearing yellow ... & I'm black.'
Emmanuelle Chriqui, Amy Smart and Kyra Sedgewick also attended the eco-friendly awards.
