The Managing Director of Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr. George Uriesi,  has charged the contractors working at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heipang, Jos, Plateau State, to brace up and finish the work within set time.

Uriesi, who was accompanied by his directors, was in Jos on Thursday morning to personally inspect the work and have a firsthand update on the progress made so far.

The MD said “Our 2012 remodeling project went into a different gear, especially with the commissioning of the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) in Lagos”. He added that this year all the airports currently undergoing remodeling would be completed and commissioned, even as he confirmed that the Benin and Kano airports are already being used.
