President Goodluck Jonathan's investiture as the grand patron of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, holds Tuesday in Abuja.

The event will take place at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel in Abuja.

President of the NOC, Sani M. Ndanusa said Monday that they were all set for the celebrity guests who will witness the investiture of Mr. President.

He said that the event would pedal-off the excellent preparation of Team Nigerian athletes to the London 2012 Olympics which kicks off from July 27 to August 12.

“The decoration of Mr President as the Grand Patron of the NOC is a noble and traditional role which kick-starts our march to the Olympics. We are delighted with the massive qualification of our athletes for the Olympics with good records that makes us expectant for a good outing in London,” Ndanusa said as he welcomed wrestlers that qualified for the Games from Morocco.

Expected to add panache to the evening would be governors, senators, ministers and captains of industry and stakeholders in sports.

Youthful but hard-working supervising Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi would lead events in crowning Mr President as ‘an Olympian’.
